Belmont's Live Webcam
|
| |
| Welcome to the Chamber's new webcam, shooting from outside our office in the Stowe Building and showing a live 24/7 view of Historic Downtown Belmont's North Main and Catawba Street intersection in front of City Hall. Because of the tremendous response to the camera, we've decided to keep it running while updating our website. The new site will make possible some enhanced camera features. You can see those features now (and get better views on mobile devices) at www.earthcam.com. Tell family and friends about the webcam and share it on social media. It's purpose is to help the Chamber spread the news that Belmont and eastern Gaston County are great places to live, visit and start or relocate a business. |

Chambers partner on business plan competition A business plan competition called Launch Pad has been announced jointly by the Montcross Area and Gaston Regional Chambers of Commerce. Gaston County small businesses and entrepreneurs are invited to submit business plans in the competition between May 1 and June 28. The prize total for the top three winners is $23,500. Gaston Regional Chamber President John Kimbrell and Montcross Area Chamber President Ted Hall announced the Launch Pad competition at a press conference. Both said the project grew from each Chamber’s ongoing work to strengthen existing businesses and to encourage entrepreneurs to start new businesses in Gaston County. Roy Goforth of Home Instead Senior Care is leading the Launch Pad project team, which includes representatives from both Chambers. Competition winners will be announced during a Shark Tank-like finale on October 17. Click the links below to download details of the competition and an application.
